The 2026–27 sheet opened Saturday morning at Pop Weaver Youth Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds — and THE FINAL. made the Rocks–South Stars tilt its first Game of the Week. Westfield left with a 4–3 loss and a first-period lead that did not hold.
Andrew Ravensberg opened the scoring with Tyler Landrum on the helper. Dylan Wies made it 2–0 before the first intermission, Brady Lemieux picking up the assist. The Rocks had the jump. The Stars had the answer after that.
South Stars pulled even in the second — a 4-on-4 strike, then a power-play goal while Westfield sat in the box. Assistant coach Nick Robbearts told THE FINAL. the first-game conditioning showed: once the Stars’ second goal went in, the Rocks were on their heels. Assistant coach Alex Kem said the third period decided it — whoever came out and played that frame better.
Stars added another power-play goal early in the third and one more later. Lemieux answered unassisted to make it 4–3. Westfield pulled the goalie with 36 seconds left and generated looks; South Stars goalie Grady Parsons closed it out.
A one-goal opener is a tape-and-practice problem, not a season story. Next drop is on the Schedule page. Film and locker-room noise stay on Instagram @westfieldicerocks.
