Programs

Varsity and JV club hockey for Westfield families — plus tryouts, Prospect Skates, feeder pathways, and optional spring ice.

ISHSHA

Varsity

Highest pace, travel weekends, and leadership expectations. Varsity is earned — systems, compete level, and fit with the crest.

  • Full ISHSHA Varsity slate vs Hamilton County and statewide club programs
  • Home nights primarily at Carmel Ice Skadium
  • Upperclassmen set the standard; call-ups earn shifts

Development

Junior Varsity

The primary path to Varsity. JV mirrors Varsity systems with ice time to grow, compete, and learn the Rocks pace.

  • ISHSHA JV schedule with overlapping weekends when possible
  • Skill + systems focus with game-night accountability
  • Natural bridge from feeder / LTP into high school club

Showcase

Prospect Skates

Open ice for players from other teams to showcase skills, compete level, and hockey IQ — and get recognized by Ice Rocks coaches.

  • Invite-friendly skates for transfers and outside club players looking at Westfield
  • Coaches watch compete, edges, and fit with Rocks systems — not just highlight-reel moments
  • Dates and RSVP details post on the Blog and Instagram @westfieldicerocks

Pathway

Feeder & Learn to Play

Youth and LTP partners around Westfield feed the high school program. We want kids skating earlier — and staying local.

  • Coordination with area youth orgs and rink LTP offerings
  • Intro nights and shadow practices when coaches can host
  • Recruiting page lists surrounding feeder schools

Extra ice

Spring hockey

Optional spring sessions keep compete sharp between seasons — development ice, not a second full league commitment.

  • Subject to ice availability at Skadium / Pop Weaver
  • Often open to multi-program skaters within ISHSHA rules
  • Contact coaching for the current spring plan
