From feeder ice to ISHSHA: the Rocks pathway
How Learn to Play and local youth hockey connect to Westfield JV and Varsity — and what families should do a season before tryouts.

Indiana high school hockey doesn’t appear overnight. The Ice Rocks pathway starts earlier: Learn to Play partners, youth teams around Westfield, and families who treat skating as a multi-year craft.
If your athlete is two seasons out from high school club tryouts, use the Recruiting page. We want kids skating earlier and staying local when the fit is right — not guessing in August.
Evaluation skates judge skating, compete, and system fit. Highlight reels help; habits matter more. JV is the primary development bridge. Varsity is earned on the ice and in the room.
Ready to talk? Contact the club, join the interest list when packets open, and watch this blog plus Instagram for timing. Westfield hockey grows one honest conversation at a time.
